WHO AM I?
Hello! My name is Lauren Guh-Siesel and I’m a rising freshman at the University of California, Berkeley! I’m interested in cancer research and hope to continue supporting women in my community who are battling breast cancer.
CarePax is a non profit organization that creates and distributes free care packages for cancer patients, with a particular focus on those suffering from breast cancer.

Two years ago, my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. As I witnessed her strength while enduring the highs and lows of treatment, I felt compelled to help her and other women going through the same experience. I created CarePax with a patient-focused lens; everything that goes into the care package was something that my mother or another cancer patient said was necessary and helpful for navigating treatment.
I understand that every step in the fight against cancer can be overwhelming, which is why I have worked to create these curated cancer care packages. These packages are thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, support, and hopefully make treatment a little more bearable.
Our mission is to work together with oncology facilities and hospitals to reach and support as many patients as possible!
